क्षमा
जल सम शीतलता नहीं
नहीं अग्नि सम ताप
अनुभव में यह आता है
क्रोध से हो सन्ताप
मैंने बहुत किया है मान
जिस से हुआ अपमान
उसका इतना खेद है
नहीं वर्णन आसान
जब से जग में हूँ आया
छूटी नहीं मुझ से माया
इसी वजह से मैं अपना
शीश कभी न उठा पाया
यदि मेरे कुछ लोभ से
दुःखी हुए हों आप
तो मैं अपने हृदय से
करता पश्चात्ताप
इन चार कषायों ने मुझ को
जकड़ रखा है जन्मों से
मुझे इन्होंने आज तक
मिलने दिया नहीं अपनों से
इसी लिये बन्धु मेरे
हम करते रहते भूल
तुम भी मुझे क्षमा करना
न रखना मन में शूल
મિચ્છા મિ દુક્કડમ
જળ જેવી શીતળતા નથી
નથી અગ્નિ જેવો તાપ
અનુભવથી આ મળે છે
ક્રોધથી મળે સંતાપ
મે ખૂબ કર્યુ છે માન
જેનાથી થયુ અપમાન
એનુ એટલુ દુ:ખ છે
જે વર્ણવુ નથી આસાન
જ્યારથી આવ્યો છુ જગતમા
છૂટી નથી મારાથી માયા
એ જ કારણે હુ મારુ
શીશ કદીય ન ઉઠાવી પામ્યો
જો મારા થોડા લોભથી
દુ:ખી થયા હોય આપ
તો હું મારા હ્રદયથી
કરુ છુ પશ્ચાતાપ
આ ચારેય વિકારોએ મને
જકડી રાખ્યો છે જન્મોથી
મને જેણે આજ સુધી
મળવા દીધા નથી સ્વજનોથી
તેથી જ બંધુ મારા
આપણે કરતા રહીએ છીએ ભૂલ
તમે પણ મને ક્ષમા કરજો
ન રાખશો મનમા શૂળ
Forgiveness
There is nothing as cool as water and nothing as hot as fire
It has been experienced that anger leads to grief
I have often been arrogant which has insulted others
The depth of my regret is impossible to express
Ever since I took birth in this world I could not let go of artifice
This is why I could never hold my head high
If my avarice has made you sad
I repent from the bottom of my heart
The four passions of anger, arrogance, artifice and avarice
Have chained me since many births
They have restricted me from truly meeting my loved ones
Therefore my dear friend, I keep making mistakes
You too forgive me and forget about the past.
